Our Classes

Life Skills

Living in our world is not always something our pet dogs’ find easy and our Life Skills classes are designed to give you and your dog the skills they need to navigate the world with you.

Jennie and Carolanne are experts at taking any partnership from the level they are currently at to where they want to be in a supportive and efficient way. They take the time to understand every dog and owner, putting many years of experience, care and consideration into every class they teach.

Puppy

Our Puppy Courses are about so much more than teaching your puppy to sit and stay. It’s about discovering just how much fun training can be and building a relationship with your puppy that will last a lifetime.

This is not your traditional puppy course. We use reward-based, force-free training to help you understand your puppy, build confidence and discover what motivates them. Training should never feel like a chore or something you have to do — it’s something you get to do together!

Gundog

Would you like to understand your dog’s natural instincts and learn how to channel them into fun, rewarding training? Pet Gun Dog training can help you find the key to your working breed.

We run different level courses and a club for continued training. It is all about helping you and your dog learn together, while giving your pet gun dog the opportunity to use the skills and instincts they were bred for.

Loose Lead

We believe that helping our dogs understand how to walk nicely on a lead and not pull you is a key skill to making sure they can join you on any adventure.

This is not a course where we walk round and round expecting behaviour to change, we break every step of the process down for you until the end result feels like magic!

By the end of this course you will have a whole toolkit of strategies to take away with you and your dog’s understanding of lead walking should be transformed.

Recall

If you have had that moment where you are watching your dog getting smaller and smaller into the distance with that feeling of panic, or you are just feeling the frustration at not feeling confident to give your dog the freedom you would like them to have, this really is the course for you.

Similar to our Loose Lead course we aim to give you a toolkit of strategies to come away with, making sure that the results you see create lasting change, better understanding of behaviour and support to practice your new skills.

Games

Concept Games training is something that can enrich any dog and owner at any stage of training. Using simple 3 minute games you can learn to reshape your dogs brain and super charge your relationship with your dog.

Whether you are looking to make significant behaviour change or just enhance your dog’s life with some new skills this course is right for you. All the games can be played at different levels, and hopefully you will come away with a fresh perspective on how dogs’ brains work.

2025

“We’ve now done puppy training, two rounds of junior gundog training and one-to-one sessions with Jennie and Charley and it is genuinely some of the best dog training I’ve experienced.

I’ve been training and owning dogs for 50 years and yet every time I work with them, I learn a new technique, a different way of approaching something or simply a better way of looking at the dog in front of me. Their training is never static, it is thoughtful, practical and constantly evolving.”
